Can anyone tell me about their experience with any distance learning holistic health/nutrition schools?
A look at various schools such as the Global College of Natural Medicine, University Hawthorn, Clayton College, Department of Integrative Nutrition, etc. With that I understand the legal implications, and I'm fine with that accreditation. I do not want in medicine as an ND practice, I just want to be a holistic health consultant and has certification to complement my degree in psychology. I know absolutely what I have, each of these schools, and it fits in my career. I would like to hear pros and cons of each - and if there is someone that I know nothing, I appreciate the suggestions. Thanks!

Has anyone taken courses/enrolled in courses in the Global College for Natural Medicine? (GCNM)?
I am interested in the study of this school, online education and distance learning, but offer different titles, and even a Ph.D. is the Holistic Health. I want to enroll in graduate programs, when I'm done with the AMF and get a full time job. But reading the testimonials on the site is not enough for me. I see that many graduates of the programs, many of whom own their own practices and the shops now, but I know the good and bad. If you or someone you know has had / will / have graduated from these programs, you can give me your opinion. Thanks, much appreciated!

Are there any parents out there with a child with ADHD?I want to put my son on natural meds to treat it.?
During the school year he was on a prescribed medication, but it seemed to make things worse. I want him to something natural. I have researched and LISTools Focus. LISTools It's expensive, but it is not my first concern. I want the best natural medicine for my 6 year old son. Are there any parents who have tried either LISTools of Focus? If you can tell if you and / or how it worked for your child / children? If you use something else, I know that too. I did not want to addictive drugs. I'll try the natural way this summer, so I can know how it works before school starts again. I was very much against him to go on prescription drugs. He is adderal school alone. Actually, for teachers who want their children to drug control in the classroom is very common. It was so convincing for me to accept. I'm still uncomfortable with it. The professor said he could not control the classroom and had difficulty completing the task is a very intelligent guy. He has Asperger's or something. For the next school year, do not want in Adderal is why I wanted to know about herbal remedies that are supposed to work. I wanted to know if parents have tried and if actually worked. Natural remedies? you are talking about herbal supplements? In this case, are not regulated by the FDA for that use. However, there are medications for ADHD, they are not addictive. My daughter has Asperger syndrome and StartTea no steroids or stimulants. told us they had ADHD, was bipolar, then shows how sensory integration disorder, we had a big problem to understand that he had Asperger syndrome. My daughter also works with an occupational therapist and a psychologist and child psychiatrist. She is fine! My son is on Concerta. There threw control so as to maintain constant levels throughout the day my big concern is that he does not eat much when in it. However, just give the medicine while in school. No weekends, holidays, or summers. We take time to mature on their own, and have time to deal with his ADHD (also a high-functioning autism). One of the best therapies that are actually used is to let it go and play as much as possible. Omega-3 supplements and regular multi-vitamins are also beneficial. Do not place the focus or Listol firsthand. Some good ways to work in ADHD is one of patience, but firmly, tell your child what to do when. The main structure for the better: it means an hour to do homework, 30 minutes of cleaning time, the food in 10 minutes, 45 minutes of reading, etc. This way they can learn to be disciplined and know exactly what to do standard time. 2. I want to become a Homeopathic Physician. I want to have the same credentials as an MD. But specialize in.?
Herbalism. Which school should I go? UC Santa Cruz? Are there special schools that homeopathic doctors that offer a doctorate? What is the best way to do this? Can I get a PhD in nutrition? Listen Kalos. A degree in homeopathic medicine is worthless. Homeopathy simply can not, and it has been repeatedly demonstrated. The suggestion that a doctor with a degree in homeopathic medicine is synonymous with fraud. If you want to help people give me a good ® - or a nursing degree. Of course, you already know that many people will have to greet your profession with the kind of laugh at you here. If you're in, what you do and you're ready to do before, despite the kind of positions you can see a naturopathic doctor. United States, this means that you purchase a license (currently 14), they can serve as primary care providers and their services may be covered by conventional medical insurance. Natural doctors must pass comprehensive board exam after completion of academic and clinical training at a college certified by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Eductaion There is a list of their certified programs http://www.cnme.org/links.html. Homeopathy does not work. Controlled studies have shown that homeopathic medicines are more effective than placebo. You will be able to do something better in life than being a homeopath. Sometimes the tablet will support a higher concentration of drugs than the drug alone. Listen to people who Orisate Kalos. At least in the case of herbs, they contain the active healing agent in a raw form. Rawolfia as serpentine, which gave the antihypertensive reserpine. Note that botanists will prescribe black salt instead of sea salt. No difference in the chemical composition of the two, except that the former is a dark red glass, which contains hydrogen sulfide gives a special flavor Herbal supplements this standard. Are rarely effective in acute cases. If you've done any science at school and are aware of the principles of homeopathy to increase the strength of a substance by dilution, a simple calculation, using Avogadro's number will tell you that powers high, the product contains no a single molecule of active ingredient. The practice is against all logic. It can also cause considerable damage prevention measures. Finally, it is your decision. Refrain from homeopathy, many of us suggest .

If I were to go to an alternative medicine school what kind of job could I get? Where could I work?
I'm really interested in physical health, but what career I could have in this area? You would have your own business, your office when you get your clients or working in a practice with other doctors. Largely as a general practitioner is doing, except that you would be very unlikely that a job can get to a hospital as a doctor. I need a homeopath or a chiropractor. And their problems You have your own business. But not a bad career choices were open. Medicine are beginning to realize the importance of alternative medical treatment, many doctors now to integrate the management of patients with alternative practitioners. The future of alternative medicine looks really god. You can come to California and start your own business. Geeks here would eat you! I think you need to do some more research! I get very frustrated when I tell people: "I will study alternative medicine" to see. There are hundreds of different practices under that roof and therpies what area interests you? There are too many people here that this course after a short course to learn a little of many techniques gives them a little knowledge about what everything.Guess? They struggle to earn a living if they get really good at something because it is versatile and good for nothing. On the other hand, there are others who have gone through a particular aspect of interest in great depth and practice in this narrow range. My advice would be to learn more about what interests you and take a course that teaches you to therapy, but also how to make a doctor for basic medical care, so you decent case histories, clinical assessments and examinations, and provide a correct diagnosis . It makes you more confident. Once you learn the aspect of primary care can do correspondence courses to others if you wish (although many practitioners find the comfort level and stay there) a decent grass course takes 3 to 4 years. Do not spend all your time on the grass, passing a lot to do A & P, pathology, clinical methods etc.Compare courses offering qualifications in herbal medicine by mail. Of the two that produce better professionals? Please do not let me out, it's good that you asked, but I'm altmed cheepened with professionals who know "nothing" that makes us look bad. Lightnin gave the perfect answer. Too many people have a similar question and I wonder if they have an idea of what alternative medicine means. And never go to the person who asked the question that shows so little understanding of the topic.
